This year Brilliant Labs is looking for teachers and students who inspire others to be their best and who are taking chances to innovate education through hands-on STEAM learning. We’re pleased to share this Prince Edward Island’s “Inspiration Maker!”
Claire, STEAM Camps, PEI
Meet Claire, one of our camp participants, who has enthusiastically joined the initiative of crafting mushroom paper from recycled materials. Harnessing the unique properties of mushrooms, Claire and her peers are not only reducing waste but also exploring sustainable alternatives to traditional paper production.
By embracing this eco-friendly practice, they’re contributing to a healthier planet while nurturing their creativity. Stay tuned to learn more about this eco-friendly endeavor.
Project Highlight
École Pierre-Chiasson, Tignish, PEI
Grade 3 students at École Pierre-Chiasson are embarking on a creative journey as they design and construct their very own village for Ozobots to explore. Armed with recycled materials and the innovative MakeDo system, these young minds are bringing their imaginations to life, crafting intricate pathways and vibrant structures for their robotic friends to navigate.
This hands-on project not only fosters environmental awareness but also encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and technological exploration. Stay tuned as they will be presenting this exciting project at this year’s Innovation Fair, showcasing the power of imagination and sustainability in education.
