Brilliant Labs is pleased to host our next virtual speaker series event with researcher Lea Albaugh. Please join us on Thursday, Jan 19, at 1:30 p.m AST. Students, Teachers and parents are encouraged to join independently or in groups.
Lea Albaugh researches fabrication and material creativity as a PhD student in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. (Previous affiliations include Disney Research, the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry, the Recurse Center, and the MAKESHOP at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.)
Lea’s interdisciplinary work blends design inquiry, craft practice, and hardware and software engineering for a variety of outcomes including soft textile mechanisms, creative interfaces for computational machine knitting, and interactive embroidery machine games.
