École Pierre Chiasson, Deblois, Prince Edward Island

École Pierre Chiasson’s Grade 3 class embarks on an innovative journey, crafting a vibrant village from recycled materials using the Makedo system. Their creative endeavor goes beyond crafting; students delve into coding, programming Ozobots to navigate the miniature community they’ve built.

Through this hands-on experience, young minds explore the intricacies of community dynamics while fostering sustainability and technological literacy. This project not only ignites imagination but also prepares students for the future, as they eagerly enter the ‘Community of the Future’ challenge by Brilliant Labs.

It’s a testament to the power of experiential learning and the boundless potential within our youngest innovators. By engaging in sustainable practices and embracing technology, the project contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), including Quality Education (SDG 4), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), and Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12).
